One of the
frontrunner's in free gallery food in Kansas City has always been Grand Arts, and with the resent closing reception of Annie Lapin they proved they can deliver. Having meat was a first bold step (sorry Vegan people) in upping the food ante. The brownie bites with
raspberries where amazing. While the Pistachio, cream cheese covered grapes looked
appetizing the combination just didn't sit well with me. As well the turkey sandwiches on rolls fell flat with a bland taste, no texture and lack of color. The sangria was awesome and much better than the wine, a staple of most art shows. I'm just left curious as to what the upcoming William Pope L. show will have!
